We're seeking dedicated volunteers to fill two key roles vital to our continued success. Whether you're an experienced professional looking to give back or someone with relevant skills eager to make a difference, we have a place for you!

Our Available Admin Roles

1. Assistant to Chair

Are you meticulously organised with a keen eye for detail? We need someone to help maintain our community library's smooth operation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys administrative tasks and wants to support our library's governance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organising trustee meetings
  • Managing our online calendar
  • Keeping digital records up to date
  • Supporting the Chair with administrative tasks

Skills: Experience with Word and Google Drive essential. No minute-taking required and attendance at meetings is optional.

2. Assistant Treasurer

We're looking for someone with accountancy or bookkeeping experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and wants to ensure the financial health of our community library.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting our current treasurer
  • Managing financial records
  • Potential to take over the role within 12-18 months
  • Contributing to financial planning and reporting

Skills: Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and online banking is essential. Accountancy or bookkeeping experience required.

Flexible Volunteering to Fit Your Life

We understand that life can be busy, which is why our volunteer roles are designed to be highly flexible:

  • Work remotely from home
  • Assistant to Chair: approximately three hours per fortnight
  • Assistant Treasurer: 3-4 hours monthly
  • Choose your hours to fit around your work and family commitments

Both roles offer the chance to develop valuable skills while making a meaningful contribution to Stoneleigh's cherished community resource.
